After winning acting awards in high school, Jonathon kept his finger in the arts by moving on to amateur productions at the V.L.T.A. , Metro, N.V.C.P., W.V.C.P., C.C.T., M.R.P., F.I., C.A.T., S.P. & D.C.S. By involving himself in the touring companies of Phoenix Theatre, Holiday Theatre and Holiday Playhouse Touring Company he broadened the scope of his theater experience by building sets, maintaining costumes, setting up lighting, & running sound. Instrumental in the founding of Sepia Players, drafting their bylaws and constitution,he worked to form them as a legitimate company with fund-raising promotions to produce their first play. Jonathon has performed on the musical stage (Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof) (Hounslow in Rape of the Lock)(Spirit in The Spirit of Malkin Bowl), in Shakespearian plays (Dream, Wives, Tempest, Lear, Richard III,, as well as contemporary and classical dramas and comedies. Directing, producing, stage managing, administration, he has also found time to act in series TV productions, TV movies, motion pictures, commercials and belief it or not a bit of modelling. A member of ACTRA/UBCP and CAE, he is presently developing ideas for scripts. As a professional stage actor he has performed at the Arts Club, the Vancouver Playhouse, Andrew Russell Productions, as well as the touring companies already mentioned.
