Vance came on board with Theatre BC in 2010 as the Mainstage Coordinator based in Kamloops, BC. In 2011 he became Theatre BC’s new Executive Director. He oversaw the company move from Nanaimo to Kamloops, where the head office now resides within the historic Old Courthouse. He holds a degree in Film Production and spent 15 years working in the film industry in Calgary and Vancouver. He has worked both in the commercial and independant film sectors, mainly as an assistant director and production manager. He has spent many years working on stage as well – as a Actor / Director / Writer / Stage Manager / Producer with both professional and community theatres. He retired himself from his film career in the early 2000’s and moved into the corporate sector. Vance has worked as a Marketing Manager for various firms including, Microsoft, Group Telecom, and as a partner / VP in a Wind Turbine Energy Company – Greenwind Power. Vance brings his wealth of knowledge of both the entertainment and business sectors to Theatre BC and currently sits on a few local non-profit boards.
