The Pedro Zamora Youth HIV Program was founded in 1995 to increase youth access to HIV prevention information, counseling, testing and medical services. The program is focused on providing services to youth 16 - 25 years old, both HIV positive and negative, including youth in high schools and colleges, as well as youth living on the streets or in transitional housing. Outreach and education programs include: HIV prevention, testing and care; weekly HIV testing at the SPOT; support and referrals for HIV positive youth; and support for youth advocacy efforts in the area of HIV/AIDS.
